Redhat 8.0 Install for LAMPS

These are the steps I follow in installing Redhat 8.0 for the purpose of
running a webserver with Apache 2.0, PHP 4.2.2 and Mysql 3.23.54 ...
Insert CD "Linux 8.0 #1"
Press enter at the first screen.
Arrow over to "Skip" at CD Testing Applet. Press Enter.
Click on "Next" at the "Welcome to Red Hat Linux" screen.
Click on "Next" at the Language Selection screen.
Click on "Next" at the Keyboard Configuration screen.
Select "Generic - 2 Button Mouse (PS/2)" and then click on "Next".
(Mouse Configuration)
Select "Custom" and then click on "Next". (Installation Type)
Click on "Next". (Disk Partitioning Setup)
Click on "Next". (Automatic Partitioning)
Click on "Yes" at Warning Pop-up.
Click on "Next". (Disk Setup)
Click on "Next". (Boot Loader Configuration)
Click on "Edit", remove checmark from "Configure using DHCP", fill in
your "IP Address" and "Netmask", click on "OK"
Set the hostname to "ASOCAEW1".
Set your Gateway, Primary DNS, and Secondary DNS addresses.
Click on "Next". (Network Configuration)
Place a chekmark in WWW, SSH, click on "Next".. (Firewall Configuration).
Select proper Timezone, click on "Next". (Time Zone Selection)
Enter a password for Root, click on "Add" to add your AVR UserID as a
User, then click on "Next". (Account Configuration)
Click on "Next". (Authentication Configuration)
Package Group Selection:
Select "Editors", Select "Details" and add "XEmacs" to the selection
list.
"Graphical Internet" Remove checkmarks at "evolution", "giam" and
"mozzilla-mail". Click on "Okay".
Remove checkmark at "Office/Productivity".
Remove checkmark at "Sound and Video".
Select "Server Configuration Tools", "Web Server".
Remove the chekmark at "Printing Support".
Place checkmark at "Select individual packages".
Click on "Next".
Select the "Flat View" radio button.
Select the following items:
mod_auth_mysql
MyODBC
mysql
mysql-server
perl-DBD-MySQL
perl-DBI
php-mysql
php-odbc
unixODBC
xpdf

Click on "Next".
Click on "Next".
Insert disks as request by the installation program.
Select the "No, I do not want to create a boot disk" radio button.(unless you want to) (Boot
Diskette Creation)
Click "Next".
Verify correct Video Card has been identified by the "Graphical
Interface (X) Configuration" applet.
Click "Next".
Verify correct monitor has been selected, click on "Next".
Cange logon type from "Graphical" to "Text".
Click "Next".
Click on "Exit".
Installation is now complete, system will reboot...
