How to replace the old VLDB database with a new one.

To replace the old VLDB database with a new one:
1) stop all the ARCserve services and close the Manager
2) move the contents of the database directory to another location
3) install ARCserve on a different system
4) delete the contents of the ARCserve\database directory
5) copy over the database from the new installation minus the r*.* files
6) startup ARCserve and merge any tapes you may want to restore from.

Use the same steps to put back the original database.
