What do I do if the media is not recognized by the drive?

1. Update firmware
2. Try multiple tapes
3. When tape is inserted, what does software report as status of drive? (no tape, not mounted, etc.)
4. Verify drive recognition in BIOS/OS/SW.
5. Reinstall sw.
6. For ADR drives, try Tape First Aid. ( http://www.geocities.com/greg_wootton/tapefirstaid.zip )
