How to setup ARcserve client agent on Citrix Metaframe XP servers?

Setting up any application on citrix metaframe requires that you run the following:

1) at cmd: change user /install
2) for arcserve: at cmd: subst c: m:3) run the universal arcserve client agent installation

No reboot is necessary.....

In my case, after doing the above the Arcserve discovery agent service started just fine, but the Arcserve client agent service did not.

After spending 3 hours with techsupport from India (it is very difficult to understand their broken English),
I explained the drive substitution that is a part of Metaframe. We then proceeded to explore all places, *.ini, registry, etc where a path is still pointing to a C: drive.

Finally, we found this registry key on the Citrix machine:

HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SOFTWARE\COMPUTER ASSOCIATES\Licensevalue= c:\ca_lic

change value to M:\CA_LIC

NO REBOOT NECESSARY.

Started client agent for arcserve just fine.
