Update the Latest Service Pack on both arcserve server and the client machine.
Then you can change the following regsitry hack,
run regedt32
then goto:
hkey_local_machine->software->computerassociates->ArcserveIT->clientagent->
Parameters:
and edit the entries in it as follows:
change the max send packet size (decimal value) to: 2048
change the Rec daemon buffer count (decimal value) to: 128
change the receive time out (decimal value) to: 2048
change the send time out (decimal value) to: 2048
change the set thread priority backup (decimal value) to: 1
change the ws receive buffer size to: 2
change the ws send buffer size to: 2
change the ws tcp no delay to: 2
change the trunclog to: 2
Set the Antivirus scan to incoming only.
Check if the NIC drivers etc are kept to the latest.
