Audit asked me to remove the AIX version information from the login prompt.

In the default stanza section of /etc/security/login.cfg add the following line

herald = "login: "

At login time the server will now prompt with this line.

Before the change:
AIX Version 4
(C) Copyrights by IBM and by others 1982, 1996.
login:

After the change:
login:
