Westell Info

Modem Static IP address 192.168.1.254
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
DHCP Start Address 192.168.1.1
DHCP End Address 192.168.1.253

You can also specify all of your own info... in expert mode... the modem is a one port router....

Goto http://192.168.1.254
Check for the updated firmware 01.05.04
Click on expert mode
Click configure
Click DHCP
.............................................
Enable IP passthrough to disable the firewall
.............................................
And to make changes to you modem's configuration as in for connection

Click configure
Click connection

This will show you your VPI/VCI.....
Connection type....
and have the ablity to change the connection from On Demand (waiting for TCP/IP traffic) to Always On (constantly attempting to make a connection when modem has sync).....

If you do not have the updated firmware you can download it from http://fastaccess.drivers.bellsouth.net ...
Clicking Update Modem
Browser for the specific .upg file and allowing the modem to update...
