Where can I go to find PHP/mySQL hosting?

I have seen this question asked several times. It seems as if it is a ubiquitous part of the PHP forum. I have probably seen this question asked 20 times in this forum and answered it just as many times as well.

Ok, as far as I know, there is no such thing as a provider that supplies PHP/mySQL for free. Especially mySQL because mySQL requires some knowledge of the software in order to set up and configure, which requires money to pay a person to do that, which is why free mySQL hosting is almost non-existent. There may be a free host, or ones claiming to be, but believe me, I have tried them, and they don't live up to their claims.

One excellent resource to try out is the PHP Hosting Companies page, which is located at http://hosts.php.net/search.php3. You can search a database of over 1600 or so hosts specified by the terms you put in. I highly suggest you try it and see what results you can find.

Now, moving onto hosting providers that cost money. This is becoming cheaper and cheaper by the day. Now, it seems, you can purchase 200 MB space, PHP, mySQL, cgi-bin, etc for just 10 bucks a month. That honestly could not be that bad? Even if you are working at minimum wage, thatÆs only two hours of work a month to pay for that.

Now time for the referrals :).

One such site that has given me extremely well support and uptime is Hostway. You can get there at www.hostway.com. They have, what I have seen, is the best support around, a fully interactive, online site control panel, along with all the stuff you will need to successfully run a site. So, if you can afford between 6-25 bucks a month, then I suggest you go with Hostway.

Thank you, and I hope I have answered all your questions about PHP Hosting.

As always, Hope This Helps.
