There are several paths. One of them is gLib:

It provides very easy and smooth migration, and in addition to the large compatibility with the Clipper, it provides some enhancements: digitron like input of the numbers, better infield validation, three level postvalidation, data-aware masks...

You can download a fully functional demo program from the web page and test it yourself.
