I have seen many tutorials on password protection and even have the Flash 4 Magic book which explains in great depth how to create a password protected site using Flash 5 actionscript.

There is one little catch that most people do not realize...it is very simple to right click and hit the play button which will allow one to zip right past the frame that contains the "If" statements and allow you access without you having ever entered a password.

The way to prevent this is rather simple...put the frames that contain the password validation...If statements and secure area of the site into a separate movie clip. Play button will now zip you ahead alright but still will not allow you through the locked doors.
