Can you create Multiple pages in Illustrator?

I read in Adobe User to User Forums about multiple pages use.
These were thse steps offered:

1. Go to Document Setup. Make height 22 inches, width 8.

2. In the Same window, (Document Setup), go to the second section, "View" and turn on the radio button "tile full pages".

3. Click OK.

4. When you go to the document, you will see 2 pages stacked vertically. You can add as many pages as you want by changing the height value in "Document Setup".
