OK everyone . . . here is how to ping programmatically in Visual Basic. Sorry about the delay in posting it, but I had to find the code (I had it stashed away). Enjoy!

OK, here is where you need to call the function from. You will pass in an address (an IP address {204.246.72.50} or name {www.jeffmarler.com}) and the data that you wish to send in the ping. The results here are simply printed to the immediate window using Debug.print, but in a real app you could do whatever you wanted with the returned data.
