How do I set up a complete Linux / Perl / Catalyst development environment including web-server / daemon / backend database.

Hi,

Having used the Catalyst MVC framework for a while under Windows with Active-State Perl, I decided to delve into the world of Linux and set up a complete development environment to aide with the re-write of my hobby website, as well as to help learn more about Linux and utilise the power of the latest web technologies.

To contribute back to the Open Source project and as a thank-you to the Catalyst community for all their support and assistance, I have documented my journey with a complete walkthrough, which has been published as a three part guide on the 2013 Catalyst Advent Calendar. http://www.catalystframework.org/calendar/
