Recovering a Database That Won't / Can't Open

This might be obvious to some, but it sure helped me, I saved $300-$400 on access recovery software.

If your DB is corrupt and automatically backs up and tries to compact on opening, and is unsuccessful, and repeats this torturous cycle, try exiting and opening again while holding down the shift key this time.

Then manually cut and past reports, forms and tables into a new or an older backup of your DB. That way you can find the form, macro or module that corrupted the database and elmiminate / fix it!

Hopes this is of help to someone.
