Why do I always get 'Invalid Procedure Call Or Argument'?

by  Sensibilium  Posted    (Edited  )
If you are using Package and Deployment Wizard on your Front-End (IE: Tables are all linked) and every time you Package you receive the error message 'Invalid Procedure Call Or Argument' then there is a solution, thanks to:

Article ID: Q252493
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q252/4/93.ASP?LN=EN-US&SD=gn&FR=0

On the MS Knowledge Base website.

Basically what it tells you to do, is before Packaging and Deploying, delete all your linked tables first.
Once Packaged, return to your Front-End and Re-Link your Tables.
NOTE: You must re-link your tables in BOTH the packaged front-end, and in the original front-end. The packaged front-end can be found in the 'Support' folder.

After that, close Access, Explore to your Package/Support folder, and Run the associated BAT file to re-create the CAB file. (EG: If the database is Northwind.mdb, run Northwind.bat)

Then Deploy as normal.
