Mixing Access 2000 and Æ97 (work around)

We have both Access 2000 and Access Æ97clients installed on Computers in the building.
On some cases the Access Æ97 clients wanted to see the Access 2000 database. We did not want to upgrade them to Access 2000.
So what I did was create 3 databases
1 Access Æ97 database as a backend where the data is kept.
1 Access Æ97 database with forms and reports etc.
1 Access 2000 database with just forms and reports etc.
So the two front ends are both looking at the same backend data.
Since Access Æ97 cannot see a Access 2000 backend. I made it a Æ97 backend and it works fine.
Access 2000 clients see the old Æ97 data and donÆt want to convert it.
