How to fix duplicate IP error on MSS host setup

If you get a report of failure on 'MAS Host Information Send' with the following error:

Send MAS IP Settings Info:
Send MAS IP Settings function failed!

/mtce/bin/make_hosts:duplicate IP names in /mtce/text/mas_ip_db
/mtce/bin/send_hosts:failed to make hosts file

The resolution is:

First Step:

Have tech go to MSS at Basic Administration, TCP/IP Administration, Network Addressing
Change TCP/IP Interface to Corporate LAN... you will find an item in the Aliases field.
Highlight this item, hit the delete key, click the Save button and press Return to Main.

Second Step:

Have tech go to MSS at Basic Administration, TCP/IP Administration, Network Addressing
Change TCP/IP Interface to Private LAN... you will find an item in the Aliases field.
Highlight this item, hit the delete key, click the Save button, Return to Main and Logoff.
Wait a minute then log back to the MSS.

Go to MSS at Basic Administration, TCP/IP Administration, MAS Host Information Send and click the Send button.

If successful you will see:

Send MAS IP Settings Info:
/mtce/bin/make_hosts: make of the MSS and MAS hosts files successful
/mtce/bin/send_hosts: install of MSS hosts file successful
/mtce/bin/send_hosts: install of MAS1 hosts file successful
