How to setup FM/FM

by  curlycord  Posted    (Edited  )
Requirements:

1 FM/FM Keycode per user
PRI, SIP/IP trunks and Analog trunks are supported for FM/FM use.
Exception: I have not had time to test further so I cannot say it will not work period but the analog trunk calling out to your second device will send the CLID of the BCM analog trunk line and not the originating callers CLID.

An Active DN (telephone plugged in)
BCM50 R5 & R6 or BCM450 R1, R5 & R6
Updated software patches

Steps:

1 - Go to Element Manager/System/Keycodes and Load the keycode file
2 - Go to Callpilot Manager/Configuration/SystemProperties/ and at the bottom allow a minimum of 1 FMFM session, add more depending on amount of users.
3 - Go to Callpilot Manager/Mailbox Administration/Class Of Service and allow for FM/FM
4 - Go to Mailbox Manager of the user/FindMeFollowMe/ and setup the schedule and destination numbers (include Dest Code), set Calling Delay Time as needed (i.e. 0 for right away)
5 - Go to Element Manager/Applications/LAN CTE/Virtual Terminals and note the DN numbers that were assigned by Callpilot.
6 - Go to Element Manager/Telephony/Sets/Active Application DN's, give those DN's you noted above 3 Intercom keys minimum, access to your Digital or VoIP lines (i.e. BlocA (IP trunks) or BlocB (PRI channels), Set Handsfree to NONE and uncheck all boxes except AutoHold.

7 - Optional if using some Analog/POTs for Inbound and SIP or H323 for Outbound - Go to Element Manager/IP Trunks/SIP Trunking (or H323 Trunking)/Media Parameters/ Enable Voice Activity Detection
8 - You may need to program OLI under Virtual Terminal DN's so that the call will be allowed to go out by your carrier or they may reject the call.
Update regarding #8:

Sending Originating Caller ID:
When using SIP lines for FMFM
To send the original callers CLID:
-In Resources/IP Trunks/General/IP Trunk Setting - change Forward redirected OLI to "Last Redirect"
-In Active Application DNs/Your Virtual Terminal DN's - enter the calling out number (SIP account phone number (for each of the Virtual Terminal DN's)
-In SIP/Trunking/Accounts/UserAccounts/Modify - enter the calling out number (SIP account phone number) in the PAI CLID Override field, leave the rest of the fields blank.

BUG
- If you have a DID assigned to a set as Appear & Ring and another DID assigned to Appear Only then you must remove the line that is Appear Only (design flaw, calls that go to the Appear Only line will follow you as well)
I have not tested Answer DN or Hunt Groups as of yet to see if same issue.
