How do i forward e-mails to an external domain?

by  lardum  Posted    (Edited  )
First of all you have to create a new custom recipient. This custom recipient must point to the external domain (the e-mail address that you want to forward all e-mails to). Then open the properties of the users mailbox in Exchange. Flip to the Tab Delivery Options and press the button Modify and choose the custom recipient you created earlier.

If this doesn't work you have to check some settings preventing Exchange from sending automated e-mails to the internet. This is done by entering the properties for the Internet Mail Service. Under the tab Internet Mail press the button Advanced Options and there you have three check boxes. Be sure to uncheck Disable automatic replies to the Internet.

This should work fine!
