XL: Get months from last year & this year in sequence 3

Hi, I am having one of those cerebral flatulations.

I want to create a Pivot table of data from 10 months of last year and 2 month of this year in a sequence. That is January follows Dec and Data table starts at March. My results are always Jan, Feb, Mar... etc.

So, what am I doing wrong?

If I wasn't Blue, I would just be a Dragon...

you need to have the year in there as well to ensure proper sort order...

Hi,

Assuming that you are using REAL DATES and not TEXT in your source data, in the Pivot Table results, right-click the date field icon and select Group and show detail > Group... and select MONTH and YEAR.
