Write Enabled Dimensions

I was reading that write enabled dimensions allow users to perform maintenance on parent child dimensions. I write enabled one of the dimensions but didn't know how the users would be able to use this feature through PTS or the addin. Is anyone familiar with this feature, and what front end tool supports this functionality? Thanks!

You can use writeback to write data at leaf or node level and to restructure dimensions by moving branches and nodes.
Many tools (including excel, maybe with some macros) allow you to write back at leaf or node value, but I'm not aware of a tool that gives you the ability to restructure a hierarchy.

Thanks. I do want to use the writeback feature to allow users to restructure hierarchies, but wasn't aware of a product that lets you do that, other than Analysis Manager.
