Hi everybody, usually, when i develop a system for a client we install the exe on the server or an especific pc and then we map the rest of the pc's, in applications that handle big data sets we have some speed problems, and i was thinking to install the exe on every user and get data from the server or central pc, is anybody of you have been trying this? you think could increase speed? or maybe could be worse?

PD i always work with tps driver

Installing the program on the Server or the Client will make a difference only in the time taken for loading the program initially or when loading any DLL's.
If you have a problem handling large datasets you need to check the network to see if there are any bottlenecks OR if you are using ISAM database you need to look at changing it to SQL (RDBMS) databases where you can divide the processing between the Server and the Client by using Stored Procedures. If the data has to come to the Client i.e. you are printing a report from a large dataset then improving the network would be the answer.
