Word Automation with PHP ... is it possible? 1

I haven't gotten any clear answers googling this one and would like to know the feasibility of this. I'd like to create a word doc of labels from a mysql database within the php site.

Is there a simple way to do this or a third-party component that makes it simple?

So long as PHP and Word are running on the same machine, it is possible using PHP's COM functions (

http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.com.php).

You can't do it in a web-server environment.

There might be other ways to accomplish what you're trying to do, depending on what you intend to do with the data.
