Hi

With word 2000 SP1 i have a problem with formatting a numeric field from a foxpro(vfp6) datasource -(by ODBC).
MERGEFIELD VALAMOUNT \#00.00

With this number 39.07 display in Word 46 ( 39+7)

IF i don't use \#00.00 display in word 39 07 without the dot

Any idea about a solution

Franck

Hi foxteam1,

It would appear the data in your database is in the form '39 07' - without the decimal separator. AFAIK, there's no easy way (there is a hard way) to work around this with field coding - you should change the data at its source.

Cheers

Hi,

What if you use MS Query and in the SQL...
[tt]
, left([Field],instr([Field],' ')-1)+right([Field],len([Field])-instr([Field],' '))/10^(len(right([Field],len([Field])-instr([Field],' '))))
[/tt]
