I can't link my laptop to my PC. It says they are linked and for a few months it did work I could get the internet through my laptop. Now when linking it says acquiring network address by DHCP but when it has connected it is 'automatic private address'(APIPA I think) with a subnet mask of 255.255.0.0 on both my laptop and wireless connection on my PC. I have tried two different wi-fi an old dell and now a new TP-link adapter. Please help. My ethernet router is a 'Thompson speed touch' that I have difficulty getting access to.
