We just switched from DSL to cable internet at home. I couldn’t remember the password for our D-Link DI-624 router so I reset it and set up the router for our new cable connection. It works great if I am sitting within 15 feet of the router but any further and it’s gone. This wasn’t the case before I reset it. I must have an incorrect setting somewhere. Do you have any ideas what could be causing the decrease in range?

How old is your router? The newest 802.11g routers give reception up to 50 meters. That's pretty far. What is your environment like? Is there interference in the signal?
