just added new Cisco phones to our wireless network and in one area (x-ray) we are now having an issue with the phone cutting out and warbled. I replaced the phone and got the same resault. I stand under the access point and I have full signal strenght and it still happens. could this be network jitter? they used to have spectralink phone that they had no problems with.

thanks for your help.

Tina

To check whether it's jitter, can you check the call stats after the call is completed?
Otherwise, change the jitter buffer to, say, 250, and try again to see if there's a big change or not.
If there's no change, then check the interface stats on the switchport the AP patches into to see if there are errors.
Did you have survey results for the area this phone is in? Was the survey conducted under similar conditision to the conditions that apply there now?
