I'm not sure what version of Samba I'm running (I think 3.0.1), but it's on Solaris 8. The samba server is joined to a domain which has 2 1 way non-trasative trusts. AD enviro is W2K. For arguments sake Domain A is where the samba server is joined and all it's users are kept, Domain B is a resource domain which does nothing with this samba server. It's very sporatic when winbindd crashes...sometimes twice in one day, or it could go 3 or 4 days. When I join samba to the domain, it scans for trusted domains, finds the proper domain A, then finds domain B and states it can't get good kerberos tickets. I can watch in the snoop windows grepping for ldap that it figures out the IP for another domains DC. Sometimes if I do a id -a username (either local or AD) I can see domain B's IP address along with domain A's in the snoop window and winbindd service will drop immediately. In the log file I get the following
