Hi there, this is my first posting so I hope someone can help me.
I want my remote WIN98 clients to be able to connect to my office as if they are actually in the office.
I have done the following on the win98 laptops:
Done all critical updates, installed DUN 1.4 which I believe to be the new one for win98 and installed the VPN update. Installed the VPN adapter and created a VPN dial up to my firebox 2 IP Address.
On the server (NT sp6a) I have given my account dial in permission both in User manager for domains and in RAS and created 1 VPN in RAS.
I begin by dialing up the internet, no problem, I then start the VPN which asks for the password and username for the firewall (in which an account for me has been set up) and it seems to clear as I then get a domain login box (the same as I would if I were in the office) initially it has my firewall account info in it but take it out and enter my domain log in details. It then disconnects me saying that I do not have permission to dial in. I have tried everything to solve this but have run out of ideas. Can anyone suggest anything to help me out? I have also given myself 'log on locally' although I understand this is not needed and tried with a WIN2K laptop and had the same result.I hope I have given enough info, but if not ask and I shall provide some more.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Paul.
