Can someone enlighten me on memory leak, I think I am having such a issue I have lost approx 100mb of disk space on my c: in about a weeks time, I have loaded nothing new no updates and I just dont know where this memory is going.

Thanks..

Disk space and a memory leak are 2 totally different things.

A memory leak occurs when a process running in RAM continually eats up more memory. You can monitor such behavior in task manager on the Process Tab.

There can be many reasons why you have seen a decrease in 100MB of disk space. Look for Temp files, look for users that could be storing MP3 files. Look to your Windows Update logs and see if updates were installed. There are also viruses that fill a hard drive, scan you server for viruses and malware.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Also if you use Volume Shadow Copy how many days worth of copies are you keeping?

Cheers.
