Why Selection.SetFocus does not work!

Ok I have a simple text field!
And a button!

I fire up the flash and I have this code first line!
Selection.setFocus(user_name);

user_name is tha instance name of the text field!

Nothing is happening! although I have made a movie clip telling me all the time witch object has focus!
Ok the name is right!
But the cursor does not blink in there! I must make it manual!
Why is that?
I use then the button with keypressw &quot;<p>&quot; and everything goes smooth?
Why is that using the button is done corect but with actionscript in one frame it does say that it works! but I can not see the results! and with the button everything goes smooth!

I would like to make it work only with action script!

Is that possible?

I told you I use a button without &quot;&quot; and its working but only when I am pressing &quot;p&quot;
