Hi,
I am doing an initial setup of the following system and do not quite understand the documentation regarding how to setup the VMS Hunt Group 7. I currently have 5 external phone numbers (4 voice and 1 for fax) a 5 slot chassis with the following components (from left to right).

Leftmost slot: 308EC R3.0 (Extensions 18-25, Lines 4 & 5)
2nd slot from left: Partner Messaging R6.0 w/a 4 port card
Middle slot: ACS R5.0 (Extensions 10-17, Lines 1,2 & 3)

So my question is "Which extensions do I put into VMS Hunt Group 7?" I found the documentation quite confusing. In one document I saw that it should always be ext 78 & 79 and when I tried that I got a busy signal when calling 777. Then in another document I saw that the ACS recognizes the partner messaging module as a 6 extension module starting with the lowest extension numbers. Does that mean that 10-15 should be added to hunt group 7? I have done a fair amount of internet checking before posting this and can't find my specific answer. I'm now resorting to trial and error on each extension. Can somebody please let me know given my current configuration, which extensions I should add to VMS Hunt Group 7?

Thanks in advance for your help!
Regards,
-Annette

78 and 79 are only for the Partner Voicemail PC Card, when you have Partner Messaging, i beleive you use the extensions following after the last extension possible of how your system is configured. if it is a 4 port, then you would assign them the 4 ports following your last extensions (in your case 26, 27, 28, 29) if it was a 2 port you would assign 26 and 27 to hunt group 7.

Thank you very VERY much for your prompt response. That worked great!
