HI,

On AIX 4.3.3 I have 3 network interfaces (en0,en1,en2).
There is NO router on this network - the network DOES NOT have any subnets.

At certain point (script) I need to establish the DEFAULT interface IP address - what would be simpliest way to do it ?

Thanks,

But unfortunately not.

In our configurations it happens to find 2 entries in the /etc/hosts for the same my hostname ,with 2 different IPs.
Each one is for different interface.
One is used to connect to all the net,the other one is connected via crossed cable to another host.
I know people who do it this way should have used a different hostname, but they don't.

Still - I have to find out with one command from script what is my IP address - the one that connects me to the net. "Long live king Moshiach !"

There's no default ip. What would you need a default ip for and what would it default??
