what is -t switch

Hello:

I am setting up a software program that requires the path to my sendmail.

In the default setting it has my correct path, followed by -t, which i assume is a switch of some sort. I am NOT a sendmail savvy user, just someone setting up a program that must reference sendmail.

It tells sendmail to get the recipient from the message header instead of the command line.
