Whenever I logoff, I get this message:

Alarm origination is currently disabled
***Busied out resource detected; verify if release is needed

Any ideas.

Thanks.

it means you have something (station, trunk, etc...) busied out

From a previous post...

display errors, will show you all the busied out trunks ports and stations.

put in error type 18 then hit enter.

Thanks,
CJH

Thanks 98Converter! It no longer states:

***Busied out resource detected; verify if release is needed

It turns out I needed to release MIS.

however it still says:

Alarm origination is currently disabled

What's that?

is your system maint screen you dont have it set up to outcall when u have an alarm

Usually this is caused by someone logging in under the 'craft' password. When U log in as Craft, the system asks U if U want to disable alarm origination.
Did U have a technician out there lately? If so, have the technician dial in and turn it back on.

The only time we use craftppp is for voicemail.

There hasn't been a technician out here. Is there any where I can enable it?

I believe that it is 'change system maint' to enable 'Alarm origination'. But U have to have the permissions to do that. If U can't change it, U maybe able to do 'display system maint'. Usually U only have it enabled if U have a maintenance program with AVaya or someone else, or if U have your own system that monitors your telephone system. If none of these apply, then I can't think of a reason that U need it enabled. Except,I guess, U could have it call your home phone or cell phone and when U saw the caller id, U would know that something is wrong with your system, but not what in particular.
U have to have a line connected to the maintenance port on the phone system either way.
