Weird things happening

OK my first quesion is:

I assigned outcalling to one of my mailboxes and i had to assign Merlin Mail the extentions 18,19,20,21 to dial outside so that it could outcall to my cell phone if there is a new message in my mailbox. But whenever callers call it awnsers and says " This is merlin mail, Please enter your extention and pound sign" like when i call voice mail.
I know that it is going to awnser because it is assigned to that Line but my question is how would i get it to not awnser calls and just work for outcalling i have the port allocation on all ports Call Awnser and it is a 4-port system.

My second question is: Ever since i restored today because i was having problems like above and i thought all i needed was a restore and Merlin Mail wouldnt awnser outside calls anymore, Everyone i pick up Regular phones hooked up to the 012 module i hear a Dial tone like on a Regular phone line Not the medium pitched "beeeeeeeeeee" like i always hear, i can still dial 9 for an outside line so i know that it didnt automatticly assign the phones to one, but I didnt change any settings for this and i was wondering why it changed it so that it sounds diffrent and how could i change it back.

In number 1, it sounds like you have the lines assigned to the voice mail calling group, and even if so, should answer with an autoattendant greeting. If you restored, what file did you restore, sounds like you may have restored the wrong file. The ports could be set to pick up an outside line automatically, and if you have to dial 9 on them, that would explain it. The other option is that the inside dial option is set to emulate outside dial tone. You may want to retstore from a different file. TipHelp@charter.net
