I would like to know how to get my websites...I have 3 running on one webserver with one NIC configured with mutli IPs. Right now I can get to them using hostname. But when internal or external you can't connect to them using IP.

Is there a way to configure the site to come up with either? I know I can ping most websites and then bring them up using the IP I get from the ping. But when tring to bring up are websites it won't.

I know I can ping the website and get an IP address back an the IP is only used for the one individual site...(network IP and external IP)

What just really messes with me is our external dns just takes the hostname and translates into an IP and that works?!

The box is a Windows 2003 Server.

First thing is to bind additional IPs to your NIC.

Then use the IIS Admin tool to set each "web site" to a specific IP instead of "all unassigned"

oh, and you add the IPs by clicking Advanced on the TCP/IP properties.
