Hello everybody,

I have a problem when I try to access to basic links to folder using webdav, for example when I try to access to this URL:
the system asks for the livelink username/password, I enter the username and password and the system asks now for the WEBLOGIC username and password when it shouldn't, I do not know why this is happening but I am not allowed to access to that folder.

Note:We have the same problem in three different installations, the production server is a Solaris system, we have another server for testing purposes in Solaris, and finally one server on a Windows server.

We have installed the 3.6.0 version of Livelink WebDAV module.

We have installed the 10.3 version of Weblogic.

We do not use SSO, we are using Livelink users.

If you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.Any help or clue will be wellcome.

Thanking you in advance,

Best regards,

Leire

My advice is to have to open up the webdav directory opened up temporarily to the world.If this proves succesful then you know the second authentication is because the calling livelink user does not have server side access to resources.You will then be able to put the right permissions.Webdav implies that the documentrs in qn is being worked on in a webbserver folder as opposed to a local folder.

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?

Dear appnair,

Thank you very much for your quick answer. I am afraid I am new on this and I do not know how could I open up the webdav directory opened up temporarily to the world, as you say I think it is a permissions issue but I do not know how to put the right permissions. should I do everythin through weblogic?

Thanking you in advance,

best regards,

Leire

I have no idea how to configure webdav with weblogic,but in my server I see apparently some instructions on how it is supposed to work.The path that it occurs on my livelink server is this C:\OPENTEXT\weblink360\inst\webdav_Livelink and the file is called install_weblogic_standalone.txt.Perhaps if you can cross check your install and see if case sensistivity matters in java deployments very much

excerpt
For WebLogic Server (Standalone) 7.0, 8.1, or later, these lines should be inserted
into the config.xml file of the domain into which the plugin will be installed:

NOTE: The value of "Targets" below is set to a generic value "myserver".
You must change this value to the name of the Web application server domain
into which the servlet is installed.

For Windows Operating Systems:

<Application Deployed="true" Name="webapp"
Path="C:\OPENTEXT\weblink360\inst\webdav_Livelink" TwoPhase="true">
<WebAppComponent Name="webapp" Targets="myserver" URI="webapp"/>
</Application>
<Application Deployed="true" Name="livelinkdav"
Path="C:\OPENTEXT\weblink360\inst\webdav_Livelink" TwoPhase="false">
<WebAppComponent Name="livelinkdav" Targets="myserver" URI="webapp"/>
</Application>

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?
