I have recently moved my Wallboard server from a physical Windows 2003 R2 server to a virtual one with same OS. Running Wallboard Server 5.0.10. I seemed to have migrated everything successfully, but my Wallboard Server crashes every few hours. Runs well for a while, then goes down.

We have up to six Windows clients connected back to this Wallboard server via PC Wallboard clients. When it crashes, it always has the same two error boxes pop up on the server side:

*Run-time error '-214748105 (80010007)': Automation Error - The callee (server[not server application]) is not available and disappeared; all connections are invalid. The call may have executed

*Run-time error '6': Overflow

I have checked Windows Event logs and see nothing pertaining to any of this. Can anyone lend any thoughts? Thanks

Never had issues with Wallboard server to be honest. But I wouldn't entertain running CCC on a virtual box either TBH.

Does the new box have the same IP and DNS record???

Only thing I could think would be to repair or reinstall CCC, see if the install broke on migrating.

Agreed on running virtually, but did not have much choice in the matter.

Yes, same IP, computer name, DNS record, etc. Should be identical to previous server. In fact, I just installed the exact same version of CCC and then copied over all of the "inards".

Unless other suggestions come along, will consider the repair CCC option. Thanks

CCC was pre virtualisation, don't be surprised if it just doesn't play nice :)

I'd be dubious about 2003 R2 as an OS too. Is it 32 or 64 bit??

CCC Install Manual said:
Software Requirements for CCC Server(s)
The CCC Server needs one of the followi
ng operating systems installed.

Microsoft Windows 2000 Server (SP3 or above)

Microsoft Windows 2003 Server

My Wallboard server and Voicemail server have ran for over 7 years on a physical Windows 2003 R2 box with little to no OS problems.

So why did you have no choice in virtualising the CCC Server?

Are you a BP or an end user??
