I have a small network that consist of a Novell 4.11 server and a Windows 2000 server. I log into the Novell F/S as a primary and than pass the password to the W2000 server for access to specific resources. I just move my printers from Novell print queues to Windows printers attached to the server via TCP/IP.

All of the clients (w2000 and W98) were able to log into the server and see all the resources. And now, suddenly, some of these w98 machines can't even see the W2000 server or the printers.

I've rebooted both servers and still not luck on a resolution. I just added WINS onto my W2000 server and made an entry into the W98 client in question but still no luck.

Any ideas what may be the problem? Thanks in advance for any input.

I'm assuming the workstations can ping the server?

Are you running Active Directory? Has anything changed on the network?

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

No I am not running Active Directory. Should I and would it possibly resolve my problem?
