I have been working on a project to use VPN to turn a LAN product into a WAN product. I am looking at site-to-site connectivity using IPSec.
Hub site would be passing data in the order of several Mbps; remote sites, over which there could be hundreds, would each need to handle around 256 - 512 Kbps.
I have been looking at hardware solutions but have been unable to find any information that compares products.
Does anyone know of such a study and can point me in the right direction?

No, I have looked, but I did see that someone at one of those pay for help forum sites had done one. If you post over there you might find that guy, or the guy who bought it.

Otherwise you will just have to do what I have had to do, and look into all of them yourself. I have gone to the training and presentaions offered by all the big ones (Cisco, CheckPoint and Symantec) but I have not actually found anyone who has made a good comparison on them.

I did find a site that is really old that comapres them in general, but not by model or even by class of service. If you want to find out about them start looking at the websites for what information they offer, like whitepapers and factsheets.

Thanks for the information. Your research confirms mine.
I'll post if I find anything up to date.
