This is a question for solaris 8 x86.
I recently purchased it and installed it on my computer. It runs great but on the hardware compatibity list it showed nvidias tnt2 is supported. Yet I tried this and it would not work. I phoned suns tech support and he said it was not supported and I should try another driver like a cyrus.
There should be a newer release of solaris 8 soon he also told me that should have more graphics support.
Why would it be on the list if its not going to work?
Would selecting a wrong video card driver actually work?
Why is it on the supported list if it will not work?
