Hi - I'm trying to create a DTS package that will move a job from one server to another. I'm very new to working with DTS and have no idea what needs to be set up in order to run the process. Can someone please provide steps to doing this process or provide a link to a site that shows step by step what to do? I tried just inserting the Transfer Jobs Task in the design window and running that (seeing as it asks for source server, target server and what jobs to transfer), but apparently its not that simple as I keep getting an unspecified error. Any help would be appreciated!

Hmmm ... it should be that easy. Can you please post the full error message.

Thanks

Like I said, I'm pretty green with DTS....so all I have set up in the DTS design window is the Transfer Jobs Task item, with the source, destination and job identified. I click Run and get the message "1 task failed during execution" and when I click on the task, I get the message "Unspecified error". I'm running this on the destination server and not from the source server where the job is being copied from. Also, as I said, this is the only element I have in the DTS design window...I have not set up any from-to connections as I assumed from inputing the values in the Task setup, that the source-desitnation information would provide the connection information. Thanks for your help!
