Hi all,
hope your all keeping well. I recently bought a Laptop over the web and to my dismay it does not have a DB9 Comms port only USBs. Can Procomm make use of a USB Port? I've looked on the web for a convertor Cable and found one that converts from USB to DB9 but dont want to buy it if Procomm cant support USB.
Thanks
Paul

To the best of my knowledge, if it looks like a com port in Windows, then Procomm should support it. However, I've never had a machine with a USB modem to test this.

I had pcplus dos runing on a 500 meg IBM that did not have a com port, we used a USB to DB9 it worked very well.
You can also get a PCMCIA comm port that also should work.
