Upgrading IPO (3-site SCN) & VM Pro to R9

Have a 3 - IP500v2 systems running 8.1.69 currently and the customer would like to upgrade to R9 and roll out one-X portal for a few users and also wants the TLS option for voicemail to email (They use Google Apps e-mail).

Just wondering what what version of 9 most would recommend. Has anyone had issues with the latest r9 SP4?

There are issues with any release of the 9.0 but I would try to go with the 9.0.4 first and if need be and you have problems downgrade it a notch to 9.0.3

Thanks Westi. I agree with that I guess. I haven't had really any issues with 9.0.3 on any of our other systems, but I'll try the latest first.

The part I hate is the digital phones (1408 & 1416) sets downloading their firmware. - Takes forever. This customer has a mix of digital and IP - I wish digital sets downloaded as fast as the IP sets do.

either one upgrade takes too long if you compare it to other brands but it leaves you time to go for a coffee
