Upgrading IP Office Server Edition from 8.1.43 to the current release 8.1.95.?? Downloaded the ISO from the Avaya support site Extracted both files to a folder on HFS http server then pointed server edition web manager to that file and downloaded and saved the files to the server. upgraded both the Primary then the expansion server using web management. After performing upgrade both sho updates available in web management both when you select the udates tab no new versions are shown available.

Wondering what I'm doing wrong???? Followed the instructions on the knowledgebase verbatim. Any insight or advice on where to go from here would be appreciated. Startting back on this first thinng tomorrow.

Side note we were told to try upgrading because we lost connection to voicemail pro with voicemail Pro client earlier today. getting error cannot open remoting interface when trying to run VM Pro client after a prior error of a problem with downloading the call flow database..

Thinking we may end up starting over tomorrow. not looking forward to that.

There's an issue whether the ISO and Apps files are zipped or not for the UC110. Is it not similar here maybe?

Kids, Kids, It's Avaya. You're both right.

Extracted both part 1 and part 2 rar files from the Avaya support site to a folder so that the file is now iso image format. Placed that ISO image in my HFS HTTP server and pointed server edition to that ip / port # / api-x.x.x.x.iso.

Tried multiple times and entry info before server edition got what it wanted in the the download field. Download would fail if the path wasn't right or file name wasn't right etc. Once it downloaded. I used the upgrade server primary button and then upgrade expansion system button. Now both show updates available under web management but when I select the updates tab. No new versions are available.

You will need a .96 version.
I think you are trying to upgrade to the same release.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I'm not using the same release. The server edition came with 8.1.0.39 (equivalent 8.1.43) I downloaded 8.1.95(7) yesterday. It was published 1/24/13. It's the newest version on the avaya support site.

The last one released but not the latest release :)
I have done this a couple of times and it should work fine.

That's just it. It doesn't unless I'm missing some other fundamental step. I poured over the documentation last night and can't find what I'm missing. Going back to disti support this morning. See if they can help

I miswrote the version I'm using is 8.1.95(10) published 1/24/13

8.1.96 is the highest, but not latest release as Peter says.

Are you sure that the ISO works?
I can remember that when the ISO is corrupted that it does not work and just stops downloading or processing.
The avaya support site is not know of there rock solid downloads at the moment.
