I'm working on an application for employee performance reviews. I have a form that records employee sanctions and even prints out the document based on sanction category chosen. However, besides the sanction table, I have a Tardie/Abscense table which I would like to add a record to at the same time, instead of having the enduser use 2 separate forms, as the information needed to register the information on the T/A table is already on the form used to populate the sanction table. I assume I have to do this via code, but not sure how to proceed.

Thanks in advance for your help....

It seems to me that the absence table will require details that would not be recorded on a sanction form, so it may be best to popup a form with controls filled in from the main form, if the record is new, or corrected from the main form, if the record exists. This will allow the user to add any other necessary details.

Thank you very much.. I'll try that to see if it works.

Remou, thank you very much. I forgot to reply to this and let you know that I got it working with the popup form you mentioned.

thanks,
