We are running people through Terminal Server
We have encountered a printing problem. When we try to print reports, the system hangs when it gets to the point where it prompts to save or open the PDF that is about to be created. I think it is hanging because it is attempting to create some kind of temporary file for the PDF when it is created on the Terminal Server itself that the end users do not have read/write access to. The problem does not exist when I log on with my administrative access to Terminal Server whereas end users with limited read/write access to the Terminal Server itself run into issues.

Can you tell us where those files are being written?

Hi, Just to clarify, you're creating a PDF file as opposed to sending a PDF document to a physical printer?

If this is the case, here's something worth checking out....

On your problem server, right-click on any one of your printers and click "properties". Then click on the "ports" tab. Scroll through the ports and see if there are any funnies in there, particularly for printing PDF files.

I saw something like your problem before, for PDF files, there was an incorrect printer port created and it looked something like this...

C:\Documents and Settings\username\~trc3sk.pdf

let me know if this helps
