I am new to this server stuff, so please be patient if my question seems a little novice...

I have set up a new server with SBS 2008 but when I try to connect to the server through the Remote Web Workplace, I get a message that "the user name or password is incorrect."

I am able to connect to other computers through RWW just not the server.

Did I miss some setting somewhere?

SBS 2008 has a default admin account of "admin" not "administrator," - administrator is disabled out of the box.

If it isn't admin, does the account have permission to log on to the server?

Yes, I am using the admin user name and password. I have only set up two users with Admin rights...one for admin and one for myself. I can log onto the server if I am sitting at it with both user names and passwords, but when I am at a different computer using remote.domain, I can not log onto the server through remote web workplace. I have the link "Connect to Server" but when I try, I get a message that says that the user name and password are not correct.

Did I just miss a setting when I set it up? Like I said in my first post, I am new at this so this is very likely...

When typing your username and password are you including the domain name? Domain\Admin

I hope you find this post helpful.

I can not figure it out! Anyone have any suggestions?

have you verified that your ID is a member of the Remote Web Workplace users on the server?

Thank you all for your help...I really feel stupid about it, but I was not putting in the .local in the domain name when trying to log in.

Again, thank you!
