I am installing a UC Module for One X for the first time tomorrow and have been reading the install notes for 9.1.

On the IP Address notes its says there are limitations for LAN2, so I just wanted to check whether the existing set up could cause any problems.

The customer uses LAN1 for their SIP breakout only and DHCP is disabled on this LAN. All of the customers PC's ect are using LAN 1 which will be set up with softphones and the One X desktop and Avaya communicator.

The existing 50 desktop handsets are all connected to the IPO through LAN2 which is acting as a DHCP server. The softphones on LAN 1 will be using the same extensions as some of the desktop handsets.

Please can anyone let me know if they can see any issues here.

USB3 will be no problem, just no advantage (the actual file transfer is the slow part of the process).

The LAN1 notes in the install manual refers to "where users of the module applications, especially one-X Portal for IP Office, access the module applications via the LAN2"

Since your user PC's and so use of Portal apps are on LAN1 you should be okay.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the help here.

I downloaded the 9.1 USB creator and ISO image.

When I used the USB creator I selected UCM - Auto Install instead of Auto upgrade. I am not sure if this is correct so please let me know.

I powered down the system and entered the UC module with the usb stick connected and the UC module is now flashing green and amber but it is not obvious that it is currently upgrading the software.

Also it has only been half an hour but if I go to (x being the customers IP address) it does not go to the installation page.

Any ideas?

TIA,

I can now access OneX using
It has allowed me to enter all of the IP address etc and go through all the processes and then click apply but I am not confident UC module is on 9.1.

How can I find this out?

TIA

Use System Status, for UCM installs, especially UCM V2, its your friend.
